About Ms. Miller
I am so excited to be a part of the Kindergarten Team this year at Purple Sage!
A little about me…
I grew up in Kentucky and North Texas, but I have lived in Austin for 17 years now and really consider it my home. After graduating from St. Edward’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, I spent five years teaching in a local private day school. After five years of working with children, I realized it really was my passion, so I went back to graduate school at Texas State University to earn my certification. I spent my first two years teaching Kindergarten at Canyon Creek Elementary, then two years ago I moved to Purple Sage to teach 4th grade for one year, followed by a year teaching 1st grade, and a year in kindergarten. I fell in love with my new school family and am thrilled to teach Kindergarten again this year!
When I’m not teaching, I spend time with friends and my dog, Charlie. I don’t have family in town, but I love to FaceTime with my sister and nephews who live in New Jersey. I am also lucky to have amazing parents who live in the mountains of North Georgia who I get to visit during my time off from school.
